One of the saddest things I have seen was a swan who brought the clockwise carriageway of the M25 to a halt because his partner had flown into some power lines and tumbled to its death on the motorway.
Its partner was aimlessly walking around its fallen mate in some distress causing the traffic to grind to a halt and made even sadder when you realise they mate for life…😥
